AUKI was founded in 2024 when Anna Tengwall and Tigist Ayele paths crossed at an integration program in Stockholm, Sweden. The program focused on building community and entrepreneurship.
Pelle, then a 10-week old Danish-Swedish farm dog, had just entered Anna’s life, and joined the first meet-up. The idea of building bonds (human-to-human as well as human-to-pet) was something that both Anna and Tigist felt could be an integral part of a new business venture, and the idea for AUKI was born. Pelle has since been a natural part of the journey.
Following that Kathy Almén and Jill Spolén were a welcomed addition to the team. With their entrepreneurial spirit, creative expertise and love for all things dog-related, the foursome set out with a mission to create a brand that would be loved by dogs and humans alike.
